Cranham scheduled road closure 15th Nov - 09th Dec 2024

What: Temporary Traffic Order to close the road for carriageway resurfacing

Where: 3/193 Cranham Corner to Jct with B4070, Gloucester. See above.

When: For approximately 16 Days (excl. weekends) between the hours of 07:00 to 19:00.

The scheme will be delivered in two sections to lessen the the impact on the village.

The team have almost completed work on the red section and the purple section remains open (please ignore 'road closed' signs at beginning of purple section - access to the village remains open if the cones allow passage). When this is completed, the red section will be re-opened and the purple section will close. This is planned to take place on Friday 29th November. From this date onwards please use the red section to access the village - again, ignore the 'road closed' signs at the B4070 entrance to Cranham. If you are travelling from the A46 end of the village, please follow the diversion through Buckholt woods (see blue route on map below).

The overlap section will be closed for vehicle access during both sections

The PLANNED start and end dates are currently Friday 15th November 2024 until Monday 9th December 2024; however, keep an eye on the web page detailed below or the signs on site for any short notice changes.

The resurfacing programme is dependent on several factors. It can be affected by things like; heavy rain, changes in temperatures and other weather events as well as plant breakdown and unforeseen technical issues that arise once work has begun. All this means scheme dates and details can change at short notice. We appreciate this is inconvenient, and we will keep our online schedule and our social media feeds updated with more details if changes happen.
