Sowing the seeds of learning...

St James the Great Church, Cranham
Our extra classroom!

We are very lucky to have a strong link with our local Church, which is situated just down the lane.

We hold a termly school service here, and visits to the church form part of our Spirituality programme and RE Curriculum.

We are currently looking forward to being supported by a new vicar, who we hope will continue to build on the strong links we already have with the Diocese.

What do SIAMs say about our links with the church?

The school has excellent relationships with the church, local community and the diocese, with governors in particular accessing training in their role as governors of a church school. This has led to the recent introduction of an ‘ethos committee’ which feeds back on the impact of the school’s Christian distinctiveness to the full governing body. The church is regularly used to celebrate the main Christian festivals and through these services pupils are becoming more familiar with Anglican traditions.
